Hehe, no, but seriously, I don't know. He always looks to be very balanced, and a month or two later he falls into a black hole and you hear reports of suicide attempts etc., very strange indeed.

What I can say is that he recently told the press that he'd be riding a series of kermesses to keep in shape. Apparently the Fassa people would rather not have him ride in official races anytime soon, to avoid bad publicity. VdB said that he understood their point of view, and stressed that this was a decision made by the sponsor Fassa and not the sportive leadership, in other words Feretti. :)

That doesn't bode well for his future at Fassa, imho. My guess would be: he leaves Fassa at the end of the season, finds a new team (I think that, even today, there's plenty of teams waiting for a VdB) and WHOOPS SOME ASS!! ;)

There might be a bit of misplaced hope in the last part of that sentence. :D But meh...personally I just hope he gets over his psychological problems, and the only thing I can do to 'help' in that is to keep supporting him. And his gorgeous wife. ;)
