well as the main article says on this site I guess the road control may well be the main debating point .
I intended to get to the first climb at Ramsbottom Rake but ended up in a suburb of Manchester to watch the race roll through (ok the silver flyer was not at his best). Ideal cycling conditions but the traffic and lack of tolerance by motorists was a disgrace.
I fear we may have another fatality in this race - i am not blaming the organisers or the police - they are up against some idiot drivers out there.
Still we hope things improve - as they certainly will when the race starts in Yorkshire tomorrow.
The silver flyer heads to Holme Moss tomorrow.
Gotta say the european peloton amongst the semi detached houses of greater manchester was pretty surreal stuff
pity lowry wasnt there to paint it or oasis to sing bout it really .
