Subject: 2001 Veteran's Day Parade in Phoenix update

The Veteran's Day Parade in Phoenix this year will be at 1100 hours, 12 November 2001. There WILL be an entry honoring the memory of Sentry Dogs, Scout Dogs, Patrol Dogs, Tunnel Dogs.....every BY GOD German Shepherd and other breeds that were there with us. The Grand Canyon German Shepherd Dog Club here in Phoenix will be furnishing about 40 owners and their German Shepherds to march in a Salute to our Dogs!!!! They are pretty enthused about it. They ordered shirts, and are getting Flag bandanas for the dogs to wear. I don't have the Grand Canyon German Shepherd Dog Club website handy, but if you type in "Grand Canyon German Shepherd" as a keyword, it should bring up the site addy. You can send any thank yous or attaboys to anyone on the member list. Virginia Cleary at rihadinK9@aol.com, and Lynda Montgomery at lgapmon@aol.com have done a lot to help set this up. Once I have a website to post pictures on, I will post it here, as well.
