Subject: Bonanza Lost Episodes Leaving Encore

It looks like Bonanza is being replaced by the return of 'Cheyenne.' The last airing will be on Monday June 30th, and it happens to be part one of 'Forever.' The next day it is gone from the schedule. We're lucky that Encore has aired these episodes for two years, and hopefully they will be rebroadcast again.

Sad when a run ends, almost disruptive. I have MeTV (non-cable and free) and Bonanza's been on for a long, long time. One thing they do, though, is when it gets to season 7 or 8 it goes back to season 1 again, staying pretty much chronological. I wonder if they bought the rights to the whole series. Regardless - and for now, Mon. thru Sat. they're still part of the family!

Yes, Steve, it is a bit sad. Of course the one great thing about Encore is that it is commercial-free, so you get the episodes all the way through for 50 minutes uninterrupted. And it was nice being able to see the Lost episodes which hadn't been on cable in over 20 years. I recorded every Lost episode from Encore, because I figured they would leave the airwaves and yes, that day is coming.

We waited so long for the Lost Episodes and now they are gone. :( It took years to get someone to air those episodes. I loved it because they were commercial free as well. I was able to see scenes I never saw before. The first 6 years they show on several channels but sadly the Lost Episodes are lost once again. :(

I agree...and I certainly hope that Encore brings the lost episodes back in a few years. I took advantage of the fact they aired without commercials and I recorded every one of the lost episodes. But they deserve to be broadcast as much as the ones in the other batch. In fact, it's time to combine both batches into one syndication package.
