I've been there several times. Even got to see the Ponderosa before it closed. God painted that place with his paint brush, incredibly beautiful. Well worth a trip there. adamseve

It will never reopen unless you go back to 1967.

The Ranch will always exist in the hearts and minds of the ago old fans who loved the series. You can still go there and just use your imagination! I was told by someone I met in town a while back that he had just came back from Tahoe and vistied the site. The only thing left he said were some tanks or something like that. I think he was talking about old propane tanks or something along those lines, maybe old gas, diesel or water storage tanks, not sure which. But yeah, just a few scraps to remind you of what was actually there from the past.

I visited along with a large group of fans in September 2009. It was a lifelong dream.
