Not long ago I watched a 1955 western he did with Mickey Rooney called 'The Twinkle in God's Eye.' It was on Amazon Prime, and is a film produced by Republic. Hugh plays a saloon owner, and he's not exactly a good guy. He reforms by the end of the story (thanks to a minister played by Rooney) but it's a far cry from Wyatt Earp.
