Author: Mike-Joseph Landon
Subject: Decision At Los Robles

Today on Encore Western for the first time I
saw Decision at Los Robles... and what a great
episode full of emotion and drama.. Michael
Landon`s acting is in sync with his directing
&writing in this one.. The supporting actors
do a great job as well & Lorne Greene is superb
here as the severely wounded Ben Cartwright.
One of Landon's best written shows with many
tense moments and in my top five of best Bonanza
episodes.

I agree Indeed.. I love this episode and is my favorite of the 10th Season. It was an intense moment when Ben was shot and a horrific moment when the Joe asked about the law or a sheriff. And the doc replied " Your father killed him this afternoon". Those words by the doc set the tone for the entire episode. My tears flowed when I saw the mexican girl Maria crying & pleading with the townspeople to help Joe when she said " We will all share the guilt, we will all share the fear & God won't forgive any of us". It was touching when her tears flowed in sync with the guitar music that played.. Classic moments in this wonderful episode thanks to Michael great writing & directing skills.
