Subject: Sad as Adam leaves

I know I have a season and half to go yet (I'm watching the show at 2 pm eastern time on ME tv time warner cable). I was really a big fan of his and it saddens me to see him leave. I wish that they had done a send off episode with him. I've had jobs, on a much much smaller scale than Pernell did, that I absolutely hated. I felt for him and was happy he got out when he finally did, but I still selfishly wish he had been in the next 8 seasons. What a great actor and very handsome too!

I know what you mean; I love Pernell too. I think I will have a hard time watching the episodes with Laura, and also with Will. From what I've understood, they never did a send off-type episode because it was hoped Pernell/Adam would come back sometime. At least that's the way I figure it. But keep in mind, there are other good episodes in this season (5) that don't have those two, and are Adam-centric; "Legacy" and "Prime of Life" are two that come to mind.

I am watching season five of Bonanza on TV Land and I'm dreading the day Adam disappears from the lineup. I know Roberts had his problems with the show but I can't imagine watching another 8 seasons of this show without him. His "black sheep" status adds a nice contrast and balance to the others.
