Subject: Gooseneck Meadow/Reservoir??

Hi Rick!

Where is Gooseneck Meadow/Reservoir in Truckee? The Locations portion of the web-site does not seem to include driving instructions like the others. I'm having a little bit of fun these days finding the Bonanza locations on google maps. My wife finds it a little weird, but, oh well. There are worse things.

I sort of admire the fact that you sought out each of these locations. It must have been a great trip???! How did you get so motivated? And so connected with Bonanza and its people to find out all things Bonanza???

I've been scouting locations for 30 years. No help from anyone who worked at NBC. As to the exact location, that remains a mystery! LOL.

I admire Rick's vast knowledge of information he shares with us. Doesn't Martis Creek give the general location away, Rick?

There are a number of reservoirs near Truckee, but none named Gooseneck that I am aware of. Would you share Rick? ;-)

I live just outside the Ponderosa and have for 10 years; in a couple of weeks I will be moving and living ON the Ponderosa. I need to lay a template of the Ponderosa over a current day map to see exactly where.

I too, am glad for this web-site. I only wish that I would have stumbled onto it sooner. Good luck...as you find yourself moving onto the Ponderosa!

I have only been in that territory one time. Beautiful Country down there!!!
