. . . according to: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0626981/?ref_=tt_ov_wr when he also wrote three episodes of "Wagon Train" and more, including his start with the "You Are There" TV series and in 1954 = The Surrender of Corregidor (May 6, 1942) (25 Apr. 1954)" at: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0751964/ of over to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Corregidor and due to:

"The continued lack of proper diet created problems for the Corregidor garrison, as men grew weakened and lacked reliable night vision. From Cebu, seven private maritime ships under orders from the army, loaded with food supply sailed towards Corregidor. Of the seven ships, only one was able to reach Corregidor, the MV Princessa commanded by 3rd Lt. Zosimo Cruz (USAFFE)." This lead to this:

"In a radio message to President Franklin Roosevelt, Wainwright said, "There is a limit of human endurance, and that point has long been passed." Colonel Howard burned the 4th Regiment's and national colors to prevent their capture by the enemy. Lt. Gen. Jonathan Wainwright finally surrendered the Corregidor garrison at about 1:30 p.m. on May 6, 1942, with two officers sent forward with a white flag to carry his surrender message to the Japanese."

And so now to this Rbt. Stack-like "Unsolved Mystery" of whatever happened to:
"An unnamed Marine from the 4th Marine Regiment wrote the following lyrics to the tune of the ' Marines' Hymn,' just before going into battle in Corregidor. The author of "The Corregidor Hymn" was captured by the Japanese in the battle and was never seen again." ?

Patricia Donahue was also in the Little House on the Prairie episode, "The Werewolf of Walnut Grove". Albert tries to fend off a bully by pretending to be a werewolf!

Larry Gates of "The Hopefuls" was in the 1956 science fiction classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers, starring Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter.

It's great to see you back posting again, Joe. Keep those links coming!

Tim, When Kevin MCarthy was on the Cape Cod, south of Boston one summer The BOSTON GLOBE had a picture of him swimming in the ocean. I asked to buy a copy, but they wanted something like $35.00 and so I said forget it. I sent Kevin a letter with SASE and a check for $5.00 * for an autographed photo, but only got one of the two 3x5-inch index cards back as signed also in the return address, of like what Robert Culp did too for "I Spy" to mat with an old TV GUIDE one of these days. -- Joe * P.S. I did same for Ricardo Montalbalm (on TV LAND-Bonanza right now) and his secretary wrote me back as if I somehow insulted her and him of them with something like: "Mr. Montalbalm does not NEED your money!" (;-) Maybe it was my reference to his time travel sci-fi movie of him needing to go that 100 Yards Over the Rim for some medicine as yet invented. Of I didn't know that he was on his death bed, and so maybe that too many "insults". I have no idea. Time to go break some Indian arrows, eh? No, just kidding. Where's his grave, so that I can go dance on it? (;-) -- again, just kidding, of he did play a lot of bad guys like Kahn, of you'd thinj he wouldn't take life so seriously.

I know exactly what you mean, Joe. Reminds me of that great story you told about Jonathan Harris at a Lost in Space convention, where he was being less than patient. The rest of the cast was known for being friendlier with fans.

Ricardo Montalban was in an episode of The Wild Wild West involving time travel, "The Night of the Lord of Limbo". But I always remember him best as Khan in "Space Seed" and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and in Bonanza's "Day of Reckoning". It's amazing that Madlyn Rhue was with him in both the Bonanza and Star Trek episodes. She also made a stop on Fantasy Island!

I never cared much for Fantasy Island, or the The Love Boat, but you could always spot a lot of old movie stars and character actors on those shows.

Madlyn Rhue passed away about ten years ago. I still haven't been able to find anything about the passing of Patricia Donahue.

Tim, I see from over at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0748558/ for that Limbo episode of WWW that of something to do with " The goal here is to kill US Grant & win the war for the South as well as getting back his legs " of go to Ricardo's full bio page at: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001544/bio = "He died in his Los Angeles home of complications from old age on January 14, 2009, at age 88" = what? leg problems? and so the gruffness? - - - - Compare to the T.Z.'s http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Hundred_Yards_Over_the_Rim and I did also write tyo John Astin too, but with no reply. -- Joe
