Subject: credit artwork?

I've found all kinds of stuff about the series concerning set photos and The Map; but I've seen nothing about the color renderings used behind the opening credits. THOSE pictures, and The Map always caught my eye as a kid watching the show.

Does anybody have any history or copies/images of them?

I'm sure somebody will come along and give you a more definitive answer, but apparently some studio artist whipped those up and they are long long long gone.

Another case of nobody knew what value those things would hold for some folks. No room to store everything.

According to Rick's comments about the opening show, the watercolors were done by journeymen artists at the studio.

You might check the episode guide to see if there is more information in a later description.
