I really thought this was a great episode. It effectively gave insights into Hoss' personality. The scene with Sheriff Coffey mopping the jail was certainly funny. What I liked most about this episode, however, was how slowly paced it was...it gave the audience time to look more carefully at the relationships of the characters. I liked how the violence was played off-screen...even the little girl being kidnapped was done off-camera, with Hoss coming upon the scene to find the hoof prints.
