Happy Birthday Mike & Ponderosa Scenery, you're 12 years online!!
I published this site and about 30 people jumped onboard on October 31, 2000. I choose Mike Landon's birthday and in memory of him. That was a long time ago! Since then, Led Zeppelin regrouped in 2007 and Lucas sold "Star Wars' to Disney! CHEERS!
Current page views are over 9 million and visits over 2 million.

Re: Feast Thine Eyes (Lake Hemet) -- Joe H., 14:02:17 11/12/12 Mon [1]
Thanks again SWC, and I read over at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoss_Cartwright that: "The opening scene for the first season was shot at Lake Hemet*, a reservoir in the San Jacinto Mountains, Riverside County, California, and later moved to Lake Tahoe."
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Hemet
& http://ponderosascenery.homestead.com/files/hemet.html
"Today that part of the lakeshore is a campground. You can see Thomas Mountain** behind Ben."
** of a modern-day back woods commercial camp-ground over there too: http://www.hikercentral.com/campgrounds/115193.html

A most judicious cut -- SWC, 08:28:50 11/03/12 Sat [1]
Even by the low standards of the goofy "A Rose for Lotta", that's an awful scene.

Agreed. And a poor quality copy to boot. Here are some bits and pieces of the infamous Cartwright singing scene, but with better resolution.

Congratulations "old timer"! (;-)
Or as Walter Brennan would have said: "No Brag, Just Fact."
