That's too bad. Maybe fans just aren't as interested without Adam around?

I can understand the financial aspects, these releases are absolutely great, the quality of remastering it stunning (the images could almost pass for high definition), and the bonus material is absolutely great. I was floored that Andy got Wayne Newton, one of the most important and wealthy entertainers in history, to sit down and do a commentary on one episode of a TV series that he appeared in approximately 50 years ago.

The point being that there's a lot of time and expense going into these releases, and executives who have to manage the bottom line can't ignore the financial implications of their decisions, not if they want to keep their jobs anyway.

But Bonanza is one of the best loved and most impactful series in the history of the medium of television. And it's important for this project to be seen thru to its fruition. Bonanza deserves the careful work that has gone into these releases. Sales may not be what the company wants, and maybe some of it is due to the fact that the show undeniably changed with the passage of time, but some of it is also undoubtedly due to the fading home video market in general.

I suggest writing to these executives in thoughtful and respectful fashion, and implore them to convince the powers that be to allow Andy to finish out this project due to the historic and everlasting impact of this series. Surely there's still room for green lighting an important project on the basis of those factors.
