Subject: bonanza. help me name the episode

I'm trying to find a specific episode I remember. joe, ben, and others are being held captive in the ponderosa house.at one point, Joe makes a quick move for a gun. at that moment Ben yells 'Joseph'. then one of the bad guys makes fun of Joe by saying'ya Joseph, we wouldn't want anyone to get hurt'. I believe the bad guy may have been Bruce Dern. please help me out. I have a silly wager on it with my friend.

The episode sounds like Shanklin from Season 13. Bruce Dern appears in The Trackers from 68 and The Gold Mine from 1970. Hope it helps!

I think I got my info wrong. after checking the episodes you mentioned, none are the ones I was thinking of. I really appreciate your help with this. I guess i'll keep searching. I wish I could remember who the actor was. thanks again.

The correct episode is "Amigo" from season 8. Ben and Joe are taken hostage by Captain Fenner.
