Subject: Loved Bonanza

I loved watching Bonanza but Dish has removed INSP channel so I no longer get it. Miss it a lot. I enjoyed most of the episodes, but in some I felt Ben treated Hoss and Joe a little more like kids than he should have.

I very nearly cried in the 2-part episode where Joe got married but his new wife was killed in a fire. Another good episode was where Hoss fell in love but the woman left with another man. Later Hoss found her in a hospital sick and dying. He was going to take her home but she died. Can't think of another episode where Hoss was so emotional.

Good series. May see if I can find a CD collection of the episodes online.

If you live in the US, official versions of seasons 1-8 are available. Hopefully they will eventually release the rest of them one day! There are "extras" on these sets such as actor and director commentaries, but the real reason to get them is that they are digitally remastered and COMPLETE episodes.

If you live in Europe, all seasons are available on DVD.

Note that DVDs formatted for Europe won't run on US players unless you have a region-free DVD player.

Do you have Me-TV or TV Land? They still air Bonanza.

Finally Dish has returned INSP and Bonanza as well as the other shows are back. I do get tv-land so didn't lose Bonanza entirely.

I see where 194, or Destination America is back with the ghost stories. I like the Monsters and Mysteries on there and ufo stories too.
