Subject: What happened to Hoss?

Hello! Huge bonanza fan here, watch it every day. I have seen every episode from 1959 through about 1965 several times. I have just found and started watching what they called the 'lost episodes'. I see that in 1972 episodes they do make mention of the fact that Hoss had passed away. Do they have an episode where they addressed what happened to him?

I do not believe any Bonanza episode explained what happened to Hoss. In The Next Generation movie I believe mentioned Hoss drowned saving someones life.

Thank you for your response! That sounds like a perfectly fitting way for Hoss Cartwright to have died... in direct opposition to the tragic way that Dan Blocker died 🙁
