Subject: Birthday Episodes

There are three I can think of offhand, one on Ben's birthday and two on Joe's.

Ben and Joe's respective birthdays are central to "The Gift" and "Stallion," while Joe's birthday is merely incidental in "Twilight Town."

"The Gift" and "Stallion" are beautifully touching stories. "Twilight Town" is a surreal classic.

The Gift (season two)
Twilight Town (season five)
Stallion (season fourteen)

All three are great episodes. Twilight Town is a favorite of mine. One other episode I can think of is "Shining in Spain". I believe they are at the hotel with a cake that says "happy birthday Hoss".

Little big Man is an episode where Hoss and Adam hire Nick Bianca(Ross Martin) to cook for Pa’s birthday. They have his son play Spanish guitar during the party.

P.S.,

"Thunder Man" ran on MeTV today, a very good episode. Besides the fine work by Simon Oakland and Evelyn Scott I always remember this one for the clash between Little Joe and Deputy Clem Foster.
