Subject: Bonanza Jubilee

February 1, 2019 . . . Greetings and salutations, fellow BONANZA Believers! Well, it won't be long now before I reunite with convention-goers — not on the bonny shores of Lake Tahoe — but at the magnificent home of Tom and Louise Swann, current proprietors of the first Ponderosa ranch house, built for Lorne Greene in 1963, and adapted from architect Earl Hedrick’s original designs for the sets constructed at Paramount Studios in 1959. To those who've been guests at Ponderosa II before, you know what to expect. First timers, you're in for a special treat.

As an early “Welcome to the Ponderosa,” I want to let you know I'll be bringing along popular “Andy’s Rarities” like Pernell Roberts singing for Ed Sullivan and Mike Douglas, Michael Landon on Hullabaloo, rare “behind-the-scenes” footage documenting a “day in the life” of Lorne in 1963, and of course the ever-popular Blooper Reel. Anything else you'd like to see? Let me know. Happily, a lot of the rarities I've shown at past conventions have become special features on official DVD releases. So I won't show material you can watch at home (although it is fun to watch footage with fellow fans). But . . . I'd also like to set aside some time to answer YOUR questions. So think about it, and post below. I’ll try to answer as many as I can. Remember, even if you’re unable to attend the Jubilee celebration, you can still ask a question. (And you can email me: AJKLYDE@yahoo.com.)

I will also be offering BONANZA DVDs for sale (the official seasons one through eight) . . that is if there are any folks left who still don't have the DVD sets! Give me an idea of how many and which ones I should bring. Do you want extra sets as gifts? Just let me know.

So think about questions, give me an idea of which DVDs to offer for sale (and I'll have some great photos, too) and get excited! ( And get ready for a few surprises.) The Sixtieth Anniversary Jubilee will be here soon!

Best BONANZA wishes,

It sounds like it will be a great time! I cannot attend, but appreciate the information and enthusiasm from Andy Clyde, as conveyed to us by Gary McDonald.
