I'd like to see Michael's May 23, 1973 appearance on The Tonight Show included as well. I don't know if that is possible, but it is an NBC show. Of course Bonanza is now owned by CBS, so maybe not.

The guest host that night was singer Vicki Carr. Michael took questions from the audience, most of which were about the recently-canceled Bonanza series.

The segment shows what a charming and charismatic man Michael Landon was. It's currently on youtube but was previously unavailable for quite awhile. It would be nice to see it on the Season 14 DVD.

CBS would have to sign a contract with NBC to have it licensed out from The Tonight Show. I’m not sure if they’re inclined to want to do that.

A segment of Michael’s farewell to Bonanza is seen on Tonight Show from May 1973. That’s not the whole thing, but part of it….Andy Klyde should be able to get that on season 14 this year, under the special features…
