Subject: The Tonight Show from May 23, 1973 with Michael Landon & Bonanza Farewell…

The farewell that Mike had KNBC film is included (not sure if it is partial or entire), from Nov. 8, 1972 . That was a Wednesday at Warner Brothers on Stage 19 on the set. He has the green jacket on, but with a black shirt on under it. The pull-line was hooked up to a stuntman’s harness under the jacket. Hal Burton walks past Mike in one scene, too. As for who pulled the trigger, could have been Bill Clark. Remember, Bob Miles returned and was there, too.

A classic Tonight Show, and essential viewing for Bonanza fans. I am glad all or part of the KNBC film is shown. Tim Matheson mentions the film in his 2019 "A Word on Westerns" interview which is linked in an earlier thread here.

I mentioned the 23/05/1973 Tonight Show in the recent season 14 DVD thread here and misspelled the guest host's name as Vicki Carr. Her name is Vikki Carr (born 1941), a lovely singer who is still active today at the age of 80.
