No thank you. They can NOT touch CBS DVDs and I (like Andy Klyde) have worked my ass off to get region 1 released. The German DVDs are from SYNDICATION masters and are edited.

Hi Rick,

There is no doubt the region 1 releases are superior, with the remastering and bonus features. I was just putting the information out there in case anyone was interested. I wasn't trying to undermine the sales of future sets.

I do not think the German DVD's are edited as the PAL running time is 48:08 which runs around 4% faster than NTSC which would be 50 minutes. I was only comparing the German picture quality for seasons 8 and 9 as on par with the German seasons 1-7.

I do have all the region 1(USA)seasons released so far and will continue to purchase the remaining seasons when released. Hopefully season 6 coming soon.

Just curious: there are quite a few companies selling seasons one and two. How are we to know which ones are distributed by CBS?

The German DVDs do NOT contain syndication prints. Thus, they are as complete as the US ones.

Would you like to donate this sum to the charity of your choice when you lose? I have proof the PAL discs (taken from NTSC masters) have cuts in episodes and other have spotted this, too.

Nonsense! You do not have one single proof for your assertion. I remember a review on amazon.com claiming the German DVDs were incomplete in comparison to the American ones but the reviewer never explained it further. So I suppose, this is just the same false assertion as always.
