I am constrained to point out the syndication sets do have EDITS in quite a few episodes, where others do not. I can think of at least 4 episodes in the second half of season 7 that had Tahoe footage edited out, when NBC took them from the 35mm prints to digital tape back in 1987. In 14's "Forever" there was 8 minutes cut out by NBC for sponsors on the tape master.

The CBS/Paramount DVDs have every episode complete and uncut and keep buying them until 14 is out! You can still enjoy the syndicated versions on Encore Westerns, TV Land and MeTv.

Rick :)

Long post. I do know of certain scenes that were edited. Most of them occurred when the scene came after a commercial. One that comes to mind, is in THE GOLD MINE. After Joe is snatched by the bad guys, he is shown being beatened while standing up. Then he sinks to the floor...but it is cut. Every time I have looked at this episode it is cut, no matter from any network, being Hallmark, Good Life etc...it has been cut. Another one occurred in FOREVER. After the fire, Joe is lying in the bed with his hands bandaged. Doc Martin and Ben leave the room. The doctor tells Ben not to leave him alone. It is cut and after the commercial, we see only Ben and the doctor coming out of the room.
