One more thought---as Pernell Roberts was not dead by the time the Incline Ranch closed, there never was a tombstone for Adam, though the other major charaters had one, including Hop Sing. That means Ben saw two of his three sons die, and that one was: (on a ship) (in Australia) (studying at an European University) or (feel free to add the ones you've heard)

as for the grave stone I never noticed Adam's grave not been there I was to busy looking elsewhere.
