Like the "Curse of the Cartwrights" I think this might be an impossible task.

A few character actors are over at http://themccainranch.myfreeforum.org/archive/a-video-clip-of-character-actors__o_t__t_813.html of this 5:50 minute tape, and at just before 4:44 I think I did also see "Uncle Charlie" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Demarest and http://compmast.tripod.com/demarest/demarest.html plus: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0218131/ with two BONANZA episodes to his credit, and so maybe his TV nephews might help in this search?

Anyway I see "Charlie" was in that http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0529623/ "Old Sheba" episode as Angus* Tweedy with co-star Phil Chambers, 1916-93 http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0150418/ and so although I could not find any relatives like some bad guys like what "Uncle Zeb" (James Arness) in "How the West Was Won" said to Steve Forrest's character of him "the product of the devil's loins", but did find this "from the bowels of the earth!" = "The Mole People"! (1956) http://movieclips.com/9AWD-the-mole-people-movie-trailer-1/

* Reminds me of MacGyver: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088559/ with Dana Elcar, 1927-2005 (77) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0253020/ in that "The Twenty-Sixth Grave" episode http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0529849/ with co-star: Tim Matheson http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001513/ who I see was in 12 episodes of BONANZA as "Griff King" and so over to the empty imdb page description Rick, that could use your assistance. http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0166070/ "This character biography is empty. Please add a character biography by clicking here."

Plus check this out for Tim over at: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001513/bio of both: "Was the voice of Jonny Quest in the "Jonny Quest" (1964) series." and: "Worked with John Belushi, John Candy, Sam Kinison, and Chris Farley, all (legendary) overweight comic actors who died at a young age" that ought to include Dan Blocker too, don't you think? http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3818821632/nm0088779 See the 27 photos of him over here. I like #7 http://www.imdb.com/media/rm966624256/nm0088779 of them walking under The "SILVER SALOON DANCING GIRLS" sign with all smiles, plus where he and Michael laugh along with that "Mr. Ed" like horse in #16 http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3902707712/nm0088779 (;-) and finally I did find a father-son photo, but only western related, not of BONANZA, at #27 = http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3738931712/nm0088779 about: "Young Dean West II aka Dean Teaster at the Wild West Show "Ghost Town in the Sky" in 1963. Pictured on right is Dean's father Robert Doyle Teaster as "Digger the Undertaker", who acted regularly with Herbert "Cowboy" Coward. Both Herbert 'Cowboy' Coward and Robert Doyle Teaster acted with Paul Fix, Tony Dow, Clu Gulager, Burt Reynolds, Dan Blocker, and Gig Young during that time. They were celibrity gun fighters with the original cast of "Ghost Town in the Sky". Dean's first exposure to acting."

* See for this: "Ghost Town in the Sky" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Town_in_the_Sky of: just last month: "In February of 2012, the park was purchased at public auction by Alaska Presley, a Maggie Valley business woman who has been involved with the park since its beginning.[9]"

and: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3504050688/nm0184662

over to Dean Teaster's imdb page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0922024/ (born: 1957) and http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0922024/bio "His father, Doyle Teaster, was one of the original famed gunfighters of "Ghost Town in the Sky" Wild West Show in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, from 1961 through 1967. He played the first "Digger the Undertaker," with Dan Blocker, Clu Gulager, Paul Fix, Burt Reynolds, Tony Dow, Gig Young, Frank McGrath, Donald May, and Peter Brown. Doyle also acted with a local named 'Herbert "Cowboy' Coward' who played "Grandpappy" in the same Wild West Show. In 1967, Dean (West) Teaster moved to Michigan with his family and immediately met and became friends with James O'Barr, who later created the The Crow (1994). Dean Teaster's Ghost Town the Movie was made as a tribute to his father and his association with Ghost Town in the Sky in the early '60s. The movie is somewhat based on the legendary Smoky Mountain settler "Harmon Teaster", who is Dean's great, great, grandfather." thus to see this 2007 movie with co star: ________ of I think I'm finally onto something here of a REAL father and son team in BONANZA. RIP for the father who had two sons of one in BONANZA and the other in "Star Trek"! Although not in the SAME BONANZA episode, the father was in two, while the son was in another.

Do I hear the NBC chimes? (;-)

Rance Howard and his sons Ron and Clint were all on Bonanza. Dub Taylor and his son, Buck, too. Yes, John
McIntire, his wife and his son Tim as well.

That Kurt Russell was never on Bonanza with his father Bing.

Rick,

First, many thanks for such a fab website! Amazing info, insight on a wonderful show. Clearly you've put your heart & soul into this. :-)

Wondered if on the episode you refer to (my apologies, can't remember the title?) Did all 3 family members appear in the same episode? I recall John & his wife, Jeanette Nolan - a genuine beauty even in her senior yrs!

I remember it was a Hoss episode... always my fave!

Hi Cricket!

Thanks, friend. No, not all the families appeared in one episode. Had that occured and it would be one of the most sought-after episodes ever made! The one with John, Jeanette and Tim was "Old Charlie" from season 8. My good friend, Jesse Wayne doubled Bob Doyle in it.

Rick
