Subject: Theme music

I noticed with today's airing of 'The Passing of a King' that the theme music for the series changes in season 10. I don't think I like the marching-band sound. It wasn't broken...why did they 'fix' it? Anyone know the reason for this? I read at TV.com that this version of the Miller-Rose theme is used for season 11, too. What do they use for season 12 & 13?

I must also point out that most long-running TV series would update the title music and later, go back to the original in another variation. I never cared for the updated "Star Trek" music tracks they did for the 1979 movie. The original (1966-69) was the best one.

Thanks for the link, but I could not find where it explained why the music was radically changed in 1967. Did I miss something?

Probably because I have it documented on season 10, page 1 of the episode guide. All 14 years I have set like this on the ep guide. You can't miss it.

I like the seasons 10-11 theme best. I also liked the season 14 version. Never really cared for the seasons 12-13 theme.
