Subject: Season 3

Hi Rick!

Thanks for the reply! I really enjoy your web-site! I got season's one and two of Bonanza for Christmas. I'm watching the episodes as time permits. I'm really glad to have the real deal! I've been burned by store bought DVD's with the phony muzac. Bummer. I'm hoping to get season 3 soon. (My birthday is this weekend.)

Are there plans to release more seasons? I would be a collector of them all!

Recently my wife and I re-did our downstairs into a western theme. (Its perfect for reclining and watching my favorite western)

We went to the "Ponderosa Navada" about one year before it closed. We have "The MAP" properly displaced downstairs!

Another question.

Are there to be found anywhere, any pictures of the Ranchhouse interior and exteriors on soundstages 16 and 17 (Or Warner bros.) that would show the perspective on the stages with the lights and cameras showing? (Really wide shots)Do you know what I mean?

I work in local television myself, and all that stuff I find fun. Pictures like that would also going nicely in my newly created Wild West Wing space downstairs.

Thanks for your help!

Gary McDonald

Hi Gary,

CBS is paying for remastering seasons 3-5 to be released in the next 12 months and as long as they sell and they plan to release the complete series. I'd say it looks good.

Production stills of the soundstages will make it out as bonus extras on future BONANZA DVD sets by Andy Klyde and CBS. He has official access to the photos and I'm sure they will be included on them as they are released!

Glad you made it to the Incline park before it closed. A byegone era for sure. I filmed and video recorded a great deal of it back in 2001.

Your home sounds nice. Lorne Greene built a replica of the Ponderosa in Mesa, AZ and it's been for sale in recent years. I don't know if it sold, but a lovely home he had back in the 60's! GOOGLE it and it's out there.

Best, Rick
