Subject: Another Ponderosa Ranch Question

So I know the ranch has closed. I was very disappointed to hear about it. When I was a small child, I went there with my parents during a vacation to the Tahoe area.
Does anyone know if it's possible to see the house in any way? All I want to do is see it again. I think when I saw it back then it was just the house (and I remember going inside) and maybe the barn, but that was it. And I just want to have a quick look. We are planning on a trip to Tahoe sometime this summer, and I've been revisiting places I toured as a child, and this is one on my list! Thanks for any info.

There's no way to legally get to see the house. If you drive in and get on the property and get caught, and that would be trespassing. Oh well, some fans have tried it! LOL.

And they're still "serving time" by sledge-hammering the boulders into rocks at the local quarry? (;-)

I don't mean to trespass by any means. Just curious if the house is visible at all from a public spot.

Attend the next BONANZA Convention near Lake Tahoe next year and chances are good you'll get a private tour, as 2009 Convention attendees did!

I just might do that. My hubby and I are going the week after next to Napa and Tahoe. I thought I'd drive by if there would be anything at all to see from the road. We might anyway, even if there isn't anything visible. I know I was in that area in the early 70's and I want to see it again.
