There was a very important election in Pennsylvania in November. The citizens of the Commonwealth elected Ed Rendell governor. Mr. Rendell includes among his family members a Golden Retriever named Mandy who was adopted from Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue. We think that this is a great opportunity to make a big difference for the hundreds of thousands of dogs suffering in puppymills in Pennsylvania.

** Please email Governor Elect Rendell and ask him to do the following things:

Choose a Secretary of Agriculture who is not tied to the Farm Bureau (the PA Farm Bureau listed the protection of the commercial kennels as their top agenda item); insist that the new Secretary of Agriculture choose a director of the Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement who has concern
for the conditions that the dogs endure; insist that the current regulations be strictly enforced; and support the enactment of new strong legislation to help the dogs. Please tell Governor Elect Rendell that you would like to visit Pennsylvania and spend tourist dollars in PA but that you cannot as long as there is such suffering.
