A Sonic is a drive-in restaurant/burger joint. If they ever ran "Happy Days" in your neck of the woods it would be a bit like Arnold's where Richie and the Fonz hung out. I never patronized one and of the people I know who did, the results were what is euphemistically referred to as "Montezuma's Revenge". But they do have a wide variety of drinks (soft drinks) which are probably much safer.
