Many years ago (when I was only an egg) I had a high school Phyisical Education instructor who also was the school's (American Rules) Football coach. He insisted that all the other sports (soccer, baseball, basketball, lacrosse) were just variations on "roundball". I take it that Aussie rules football is not a form of roundball.

Actually, when ESPN first started broadcasting sports around the clock they were starved for content and they did show Australian Rules Football live (at like 2:00 AM local time) and no one understood it then. Now that we have embraced Arena Football (Go SabreCats!) it's more likely that people will take a chance on something else during the off-season. But then, we also have a small group of people who will watch the roundball version of football because their children play it. So who knows what is next.

Personally, I liked the game which you tell me is rugby. I especially liked the referees with their cute hats and little flags. If I had been a priest there's no telling what would have happened. (ok bad joke, sorry)
