Now who is kidding whom? I think there is enough hate/revenge/religious mania in the Middle East [what a strange term!] to keep hostilities going until some black hole consumes us all.
I imagine that while we're being sucked down the plughole the Israelis and Arabs [and the Russians and Chechens, the Catholic and Prod Irish, blacks and whites et al]will still be at each others throats.
