Poor South Aussie! Neglected bastard of the Empire. As George rightly put it, Don, the state in which he herds was the forerunner of most political advances we in the West experience today.
But it is only a fuel stop on the way to nowhere. But it is advanced in its thinking, has so many bloody churches one vomits at the mere thought of altar boys and froicks and sicko priests and the Adelaide Oval and cricket and church bells when McGrath comes in to bowl and it grows some of the best shit in Oz.
It is paradoxically both conservative and small ell liberal but it still only plays Rules and Soccer.
