Subject: Vectrex Price

How much would a working Vectrex be in the auction market at this point? If I find a working Vectrex, how much would a fair price possibly be? How about a non-working one? Thanks.

The best way to get a sense of the prices is to search for 'vectrex' at ebay and click on 'completed items'. Roughly, working Vectrexes go for $100 to $200, depending on condition.

How 'rare' would a Vectrex system be? Or is it just overhyped by fanatics in the Web? Is it really difficult to find one?

It can be hard to find one locally (thrift shops, garage sales)...in that sense it's rare (depending on where you're at). On the other hand, on the web there's always one to be found. When I'm next ready to buy one I'm expecting to find one right away online at the price I want to pay...

seems like the 100-200 range is usually correct, given that the seller knows what they have......occasionally you can pick up one for less, as i did w/ mine, but be prepared to do some work....mine looked/worked great, until you actually had to do anything w/ the controller...but i fixed that for a buck......so just keep hunting.
