Subject: Idea on new Vectrex games

I had an idea for new games that follows the thread below.

You see, most of the new Vectrex games are just translations of other classic games, but I have an angle on it.


You see, the Vectrex, with the vector grafics is really well-suited to 3D games. So, how about 3D versions of classic games?

Imagine: Space invaders or KaBoom! where the aliens or bombs fall down on you! Imagine, eh, I ran out of examples, but you get the idea.

What do you think?

You're right. 3D and zooming aren't used nearly enough, although working out the math for that kind of game is very difficult. Now that the source for Chris Salomon's 3D demo is available (see the Wintermute site), more programmers should have access to those 3D routines...
