Subject: SOUND PROBLEM

I have just got a great vectrex, but there is a continual buzzing sound and the volume control crackles when turned.A bit like what you get on an old TV. It is probably just dirty but does anyone have any idea how to clean/ fix it?

The buzz is normal. I had some crackling too with the volume knob. I fixed it by unplugging the unit and then turning the volume know all the way up, then all the way down, then repeating that for a few minutes. It cleans the contacts...
