Subject: Technical vectrex question

Hey guys I have my original vectrex that my mom bought for me when I was in the 4th grade. I just recently was talking with a guy about it and he didn't remember it so I went to ebay to show him one and was amazed at how much they were selling for. Needless to say I went straight over to my mom's house and got my vectrex. Anyhow, the question is, when I first turn it on it there is no picture. After about 15 seconds the picture comes on, and anytime right after that if you turn it off and turn it back on the picture immediately comes on like normal. Is it just warming up or is there something wrong? Also, I read alot of descriptions about how important it was that the controller would center. I have 2 controllers and they both still work perfectly. Am I lucky or is that just hype?
Anyhow FYI I have a working (with the thing that I described earlier) vectrex in the original box with most of the packing styro stuff, 2 controllers that both work, and like 7 games (all but 1 have the screen) I am going to put it up for auction on ebay soon.
Also is there a difference between an 3000 and an hp-3000?
