Subject: vectrex xperts, please help!!!

it's kind of a dumb question, but, will a spare controller for 2 player games work as the only controller with the machine?

A Vectrex controller is a Vectrex controller. Even if you get a Genesis controller that is converted for Vectrex use, it is just as good as an original controller, but it may not work well with Hyperchase or Starhawk (when the analog option is chosen), or with any newly programmed game that takes advantage of analog control.
