Subject: Converting Controler To Vectrex Controler help

Ok, I;m addicted to my Vectrex, I picked it up off a neighbor for $5 plus a game (WebWars) and 1 controler. The system works fine, and looks new, but the controler has seen better days. The joystick is missing the knob from the top of it, some of the buttons need to be pressed in really hard to make them work, stuff like that. I want to buy a new controler for it, but I'm poor, and the controlers all seem to be high priced, so what I was htinking, is maybe I could convert a controler, as I had read about it before. Buuut, Id like to do it to a controler with analog ( I was thinking maybe a joystick from some kind of console) or if nothing else, jsut a standard genesis controler. And I'll be honest, I wouldnt have the foggiest idea where to start with something like this, so is there anywhere (or anyone) that can help me do this, step by step, talking to me as if I'm someone with no idea what their doing? Cause uh...Thats me. I could follow directions fine I'm sure, as long as they werent written for someone that knows what theyre doing.

If anyone can help, e-mail me please! Or if nothing else, leave a responce here!

Thanks

Well, the only complete tutorial covers a Genesis controller, but I know that Rob Mitchell has done individual controllers of all kinds, including analog. You can ask in rec.games.vectrex...
