So at first you might think it is a real shame that what you have found instead is the kind of investor who requires you to send money up front. After all, if you had money, you would not be desperate enough to consider this sort of deal. Effectively, this is a non-delivery loan. You will apply as though there were investors expecting to lend money. In return, you would pledge your company's future. But this is better, in that you do not have to worry about buy-outs or repayment, because there is no initial funding round.
