Cathie,
I believe you are supposed to keep your carbs below 20 grams for the first two weeks. Bob and I haven't been counting, but the diet is still working just great.

Here is a few examples of our day:

Breakfast:
Eggs
turkey sausage
a couple of leaves of romaine (I try to include SOME kind of veggies at each meal)
coffee or tea

Lunch:
Tuna salad made with celery and onions and Hellmans (check your mayo labels to make sure there's no carbs) stuffed in a small tomato

Lettuce, cheese, bacon bits, onions, peppers, cucumbers with no carb ranch dressing

Sugar free jello (makes me feel like I've had a fruit)

Dinner:
Baked chicken breasts sprinkled with salt, pepper and a little butter.

Fried mushrooms

brussel sprouts

cauliflower

diet soda or tea

Snacks (throughout the day)
cheese and ham rollups

deviled eggs

DAY 2
Breakfast:
an omelette with lots of veggies and cooked with butter flavored Pam

A small slice of ham

a couple of tomato slices with salt and pepper

Lunch:
Chicken salad on greens

celery sticks with some cream cheese

a small amount of salsa for dipping my celery sticks

Dinner:
Salmon that I cut in cubes, fry to a golden brown and then coat with homemade buffalo wing sauce

carb free or 1 carb per serving ranch dressing for dipping

broccoli

green beans

Snack:
fried mozzerella (sp???) cheese
a small amount of tomato sauce (look for low carb)
a sprinkle of pepperoni

homemade chicken soup

This is just a small sample. I will print a low cal day later.
