Subject: St. Bonaventure Alumni Call for Resignations of Trustees

"St. Bonaventure Alumni, while happy with the dismissal of University President Robert J. Wickenheiser, Athletic Director Gothard Lane, Head Men's Basketball Coach Jan van Breda Kolff, and Men's Assistant Basketball Coach Kort Wickenheiser, are calling for the resignation of Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the University William Swan, a 1969 graduate of the University. The report filed by the Basketball Program Investigative Committee shows that AD Lane approached Swan and Trustee James Gould in June of 2002 to alert them to the involvement of hte President in declaring an ineligible recruit eligible. Swan and Gould did not act, instead choosing to look the other way and trust the University President. Top alumni were on the phones almost immediately after the press conference asking for the resignations of the only two people still associated with the University who were involved with the scandal. Mr. Swan and Mr. Gould did not immediately return calls to their homes for comment."

This Bonnies story gets more interesting every day! Glad I am not one of their alums and/or season ticket holders!

Anybody know that if Bonas is on probation for 2 or more years (Arkansas got three years yesterday for less than what Bonnies did), will they be allowed to play in the A-10 Tournament? I wouldn't think so, what do you think?
