Hello Ernie and friends,
I'll just try to accelerate the topic by some oversea's
ideas....Thanks for your confessions. That shows us that our choice
is highly individual (so for choosing I'm more on Ernie's Sampras
side than on Rob's...) but perhaps we can learn something about
ourselves.
Some questions, some remarks:
1. Is this a question of gay fetish only ? Is there a kind
of "straight" male fetishism similar to hetero transvestism? Felt
p.ex. in male models being choosen for outdoor marketing ? 2. Are we
regularly very musical (as I am)? 3. Did you know about this myth of
sexual cathexis of the ear reported by US immigrated psychoanalyst
Otto Rank ("Listening with the third EAR" - some cynicals said he,
apparently, then was deaf on his two others...): woman's conception
and fertilizing through the ear ? 4. Is this YOUR, your only fetish ?
5. Are there periods of non-paying attention to ears?
Does "recidives" mean upcoming lust for licking, contacting, flirting
again....? 6. Did you find yourself the sensibility, postulated by
acupuncture specilialists underlining ear zones interacting with
other parts of the body ?7. Does fetish (Freud's text on this topic
from 1927 is always worth reading) mean representation of the female
sex? Different from phallic noses for example..?8. Did you think
about men's self perception of their ears? What happens in the
morning in front of ten thousand mirrors, if someone does not
integrate i.e. dislike his ears? Can we be sure that we automatically
like the ears of self confident men? 9. Very important: Do you know
the feeling: I dislike somebody (a man? a woman?) because I disliked
his/her ears AND/OR VICE VERSA? 10. Do you like your own ears ? Which
one more ? Why? Are you always friendly with this prominent organ ?
11. Did anyone hear about related illuminating American literature,
even aside from psychoanalysis? 12. Do you like biting and licking
(on your and your partner's ears, prefering ears able to invite you
to biting...? ;-)) 13. Do you know even mature men's (and women's!)
hiding their sticking out ears under hippie and hirsute coiffures? I
think dominant ears easily may (have) attract(ed) feelings of shame.
More with girls than men, used to GI haircut since long.

And now the remarks: 20. I think it's more than ears, but perception
of the face, the head, harircut... 21. It's a passive, female organ -
we can't close it by night. 22. I think ears are a familiy things:
22a in the paternal line: before gene testing the similarity between
fathers' and children's ears decided on being THE father. 22b Even
ears beauty is lent, matter of heritage adn ... Might it be related
with sisterhood? Envying a brother (or and of a gene mix bringing
back even grandmother's/-father's ears?) for having got the better
shape of ears from ...(so which one of??) the parents? 23. Aren't we
all in the doubtful stream of Lavater's and Lombroso's physiognomics
deciding even on caracter traits (i.e. criminal) by certain forms of
the ears? 24. There is a German book by Walter Hartenbach: What ears
tell us. How to perceive (read) the caracter (Was Ohren verraten.So
erkennt man den Charakter, Herbig (editor), 2002, ISBN 3776622768I)
guess it's in the Lavater streaming, written by an author who would
not conceed being confronted to a fetish and fetishism in himself -
which only could explain the irrational relation we seem to maintain
to our Object of Desire...

Ear PULLING as on it's picture is not that exciting to me the more stretching there hides very often the individual esthetics of nearly every ear.

This may be an- I don't hope too - wild a mixture on the way to a
Psychoanalysis of the Ear, or at least an increasing understanding of
our own nd vry personal desire...I only would like to sing you a song
now only for your personal nice ears...Did anyone collect
