Tom-

The section termed "Wide Waters" is actually in Port Gibson. Port Gibson is a small hamlet just west of the town of Newark. Newark and Port Gibson are about 15-20 minutes east of Macedon.

You can still launch in Macedon but will need to pass through two lock chambers. One lock Chamber in Macedon and One in Palmyra. Palmyra is right in between Macedon and Port Gibson/Newark.

The Macedon Launch is located off of Rt.350. Take Rt 31 East to village of Macedon. At second stoplight in the village you will find Rt.350. (on the right side of the road is a Express Mart, on the left corner is a large factory that house Mobil Chemical, Tyco Plastics and Pliant Corp)) Take a left on Rt.350. Go about 1/4 of a mile and you will find a left turn that leads into the Canal Park/ Lock Chamber/ and Macedon Fire Department. Follow the road until it turns into a dirt road along the canal. The launch is on the left and there is plenty of parking.

Send me a e-mail to BuckShotJon@yahoo.com if you need more directions.

I will be fishing along the canal tonight with my wife and kids. We will have a picnic and I will be fishing, LOL. This is the aquaduct park in Palmyra.

Take Care-
Jon
