Hey. I'm glad more people are getting on here! It was great to here from HALENE!!!

KATE, thanks for bringing up specific interpreting issues and questions to be discussed! I think that's fantastic!! I've tended to talk more about my experiences rather than the actual issues. However, I am withholding comment on your question, until I can hear other's perspectives. :)

But, just to catch up on sharing an experience :) ...I'm getting discouraged with my internship. I'm very comfortable now, but am not getting enough "hands-up" time Also, there are SO few deaf social events, that I feel at a total loss of ways to work on my language skills (which at this point is my biggest hold-back with interpreting). And the events that DO happen, are awkward because I don't know anyone. Anyway, I spoke with my mentor about it, and hopefully things will be looking up.

MY QUESTION FOR YOU GUYS...what types of things have you been interpreting? High and low moments???

Peace.
There is no sun...we've had nothing but RAIN. Makes me feel at home, like in OR. (At least I don't have to worry about skin cancer).
