Subject: MOST of imprint's equipment was stolen this morning

Not just the equipment, but harold's van with it! Here's the story...

It's 9:42AM, Saturday morning. I'm starting to hear a strange electronic ringing in the back of my mind. I wake up and think it's my alarm clock, but nope... it's my cell phone.

"Hello"
"Hi, is this jeremy"
"Yes"
"This is Mrs. Echols. Is Harold there."
"Yes, he's here."
"Can I talk to him please. The police called me and told me that a guy was seen running from the van at an intersection in N.E. Philadelphia."
"Ok... I'll get him right now... hold on."

So Harold talked to her and got the number for the police district that the car was in. And they told him the location of the car... Sedgley and Clearfield, 6.54 miles away. So we really don't know much about the condition of the car and all we wanted to do was get over there as quickly as possible and get the van and any equipment that is there and get it back to harolds.

First I tried brad cause I knew he was in the city and had a car... but he musta had his cell off cause I couldn't get him on the line. I left a message w/ him though. Then I tried to think who else I knew in the city that had a car and would almost certainly be willing to help out. My boss of course. So I call him and he says he'll be right over. So he gets here around 10:30 and we head off to find the damn thing.

When we get there, there's a cop sitting right near it and it appeared to be ok... I went over to check out the thing immediately... the tires on the left side of the car were all flat (slashed) and the other side was ok. The lock on the sliding door got removed, but I could see everything thru the tinted windows... I knew it was all there... and it was.. thank god. But the van was beat up. They had not only slashed the tires and removed the lock, but also had destroyed the ignition and steering column. Now you have to use a screwdriver to start it... also, the battery was dead and the spark plugs cables had been pulled off the plugs. (I picked up on that one... go me)

Initially we didn't see the slashes in the tires, so Jim went to the store to buy fix a flat to see if we could just get it outta that immediate area. A friend of Harold’s mom showed up and we borrowed some tools and the jumper cables from him. We found out a ton of shit about the van too. Like how to change two tires (and get the damn spare out from underneath thing. The van also has a built in air compressor and has a hose, a jack, and the wheels have a lock lug nut on them too.) Anyway, after thinking for a few minutes, we figured the best thing to do was to put the spare on for one of the tires and leave the other one up on the jack. Then take the two tires and get them fixed and then replace them.

Unfortunately we left Harold alone at the van and after bringing him some McDonalds went and got the tires fixed… which took an hour even though the guy said it would take 10-15 minutes… but we got back and threw them on in no time. Another friend of Harold’s mom came by too to check up on us. And finally we got it started and got Harold some directions and got him on his way…

First, I want to apologize for the stuff getting stolen from outside my house. I’m thankful that it was all recovered and overall there’s no irreplaceable damage except for the fact that my house and Harold are cursed or something. These things never happen… unless Harold is here. Hopefully you guys will trust that this streak of bad luck will end with this event.

Second, My roommate is still and asshole.

Finally, thank you to the 11 people that came out to see imprint last night. You rock.
