Dear Frank,
First of all,
Nell, Roxie, Ed and the entire family are all very good, and dear friends to me and my family. This has nothing to do with them. It also has nothing to do with the management of the track. I have been there a couple of times this year, has a spectator, and watched the races. It mostly has to do with the class of drivers that you have racing at your track. The drivers that started there when the track was first opened, were very respectful, and were good clean drivers. Now, you can tell what kind of class of drivers you have just by watching some of the races. What ever happened to good clean racing? What ever happened to drivers taking pride in their race cars, trying to beat their fellow drivers, not push them into a wall. I have been to many race tracks, accidents happen all the time. But, what I have seen and what I have been told, by other drivers, those are not just accidents at your track. It's reckless driving. Its' drivers not caring about the sport of racing, just doing what it takes to beat the other drivers. I can only tell you what I have seen, and what other drivers have told me. Also, you have drivers that stopped racing there, because the rules were changing everytime they showed up to race. What is that all about? They would go to one person and that person said they could add something to their car, then when they showed up, they said they couldn't race with what was added. Also, you had a make up race, last Sunday. Why didn't the track get wet down before the modifieds went out? The track was way too dry, which caused a lot of dust and dry slick. We could barely see the races. Luckily, the only thing that got hurt, were the modifieds, not the drivers. You, know you still have a lot of drivers that are very good, and take pride in their racing. You still have some drivers that are in it for the fun and the sport, I hope you don't lose them, because they are loyal drivers, and put on a great race every week. Frank, if you don't like my opinion, that's not my problem. You don't have to read or listen to what someone has told you, just like I don't have to hear the stuff you have said about me. By the way, I did not say those things to put a "plug" in for Hill Country Racing. I put it in because that is how I feel. I feel like I have a family here, just like I used to at I-37. We went to a funeral today of a 6- year old that passed away. He was the son of one of our tech guys. My family and I didn't know him very good, but we went and showed our support to his family. There were other drivers there that did the same. That's a family, that is how we feel at Hill Country Raceway. When one of our own is down, we all try to help. The track was even closed today, honestly, would you guys have done the same, I would hope so. In your e-mail you said you let us put fliers on the cars. I don't know who you gave permission to do that, but it wasn't me. I don't work for Hill country raceway, I drive a racecar here. I'm sorry you didn't feel comfortable enough to send the e-mail on this site, but I tried to respond to your message on your site, but I don't want to join the website, just to post a message. If it wasn't for another driver telling me, I would of never even known your e-mail existed. If you have any other problems with my comments, you can e-mail me personally if that makes you feel better.
Thank you,
John Kinnebrew
