I like to check out the discussions on this board every now and then and this one sounded interesting. Well, I've had many characters come and go, but my favorites always seem to have crappy deaths. I once had a great ranger who was rising in the ranks of a particular house in Kaiden. I enjoyed every moment as him. Well... a powergamer came along and spoiled my fun by slaughtering me with his "four-armed troll." Now, the troll didn't really have four arms, but he was carrying three weapons... One in his primary, one in secondary and a bigass rock in both!!! Dunno how he could manage to fight effectively with all that unless he was Goro. I'm not mad about it anymore, but it was disheartening to lose such a great character.
Hmm.. another one was due to a glitch somewhere. I had the option of getting my character res'ed which is extremely rare, but I chose just to make a new one for rp's sake. I was walking along and was suddenly attacked by a guard. I had walked past many different guards with no problem, but this particular one appeared out of nowhere and attacked. I tried to flee the city, but with all the centurions around I didn't have much of a chance. :(
Last, but not least, was my best dwarf ever. Another of my best characters he was. Well, I had a somewhat glorious ending however. I was in a great battle and was struck down. I was lying there nearly dead, but a dwarven shaman assisted me by bringing my life back to full. Unfortunately I was still stunned... :/ Well all I could do was lie there and emote trying to get off the ground. I watched the battle rage on around me.. we were winning. Unfortunately I was left there alone for just a short period of time with a stricken enemy. He, unfortunately, was fully functional although horribly wounded. He rose from his bloody place on the ground and finished me off. I was upset by this, but it was the most glorious ending I've had in a while.
Well, this post is getting a bit long now. I'll just end it by saying, I never seem to die during my regular playing hours, but whenever I'm online when I should be doing something else is when it happens :P
