What is it with these Players who kill all the NPC merchants in the stupid market?! You go into a shop to sell something or to buy something that you really need and the NPC is dead...If there are any PCs out there that like going around to kill these NPCs, then stop it. You are ruining a lot of people's chances to either make a living or survive.

Also there was a militant-postured young man...was he a PC or an NPC? If he was an NPC he was a bug. He went around killing everyone he saw.
