Hello, all. It is with no small amount of embarrassment that I type this; my ongoing re-enactments of "Faces of Death IV" is a far cry from the nights of yesteryear when I was known to play characters for years at a time. *sigh*
So, there I was, minding my own business in a certain pine-dominated forest. Finding herself travel-weary, our heroine stops for a little nap. After spreading her cloak on the forest floor, she settles in. She also knows better than to go to sleep on an empty stomach, so she makes certain she's fed and watered.
This is where things go bad.
Suddenly, our heroine's PC begins receiving such bon mots as "You get a sudden adrenaline rush." I noticed her hit points went down every time, but could never get enough mp's to wake-up! Eventually, I got hungry and thristy. At that point, I just started web-surfing and keepin vigil for the inevitable.
To avoid such unfortunate episodes in the future, would someone (Drayab, care to go three for three?) please bring me up to speed on the mechanics? Again, just so no one is upset for spreading OOC information (an objection, BTW, which I can completely understand), I would submit that my poor character would know the ins and outs of sleeping at the age of 21.
As always, thank you. I'm determined *not* to run screaming back to the world of MUSHes, and eventually I'll make a character who lasts for more than 20 minutes. :) From what I've seen of Fourlands, it'll be worth the effort.
Blessed Be!
